Up for sale isa brand new compact size (1x2x3" or 24 x 48 x75mm)digital thermometer, pyrometer forExhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) monitoring.It can be powered directly by the car battery (12 VDC). Its bright LED display is easy to read from a distance as compared with many dim LCD type digital thermometers. The programmable alarmwill turn on aredLED in the frontpanel to getdriver's attention if the temperature is above the setting point. It will also close a relayoutput port that can be usedto turn on a buzzer, shut off the fuel,orturn on a cooling fan. The meter stores the peak temperature with time that can be checked later. It can alsooperate in the peak holding mode so that onlythe maximum temperature is displayed. The meter will accept all EGT sensors on the market and display the temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. The brightness of LED displaycan be synchronized with headlight. When the headlight is turned on in the night, the display will be dimmed by the illumination signal. It can also be dimmed directly from the key pad.

This auction also includes a EGT sensor. It is a K type thermocouple sensor with exposed tip junction for fast response time.The probe diameter is 3/16", Mounting thread is 1/8 NPT. The insertion depth is adjustable with 1.3" maximum. Cable length, 78” (2 meters). Maximum working temperature: 1000C (1800F). The sensor can also be supplied as clamp-on or weld-in type upon request.

Developed based on industrial grade instruments, this four digits gauge is probably one of the most accurate EGT monitor on the market.

Note: The gauge can only work with one sensor at a time. You may use an external mechanical switch to make it work with multiple sensors of the same type. It is not practical to switch two different types of sensor while you are driving because you need about 10 seconds to change input settings of the gauge.
