2000 Top Secret Gold Subaru

You're looking at a one of a kind Subaru. This GC8 has gone through countless transformations and is looking for another Subie Lover. I'm going to try to provide as much information as possible while giving a little backround on the vehicle as well. I bought this car off of a guy named Mingabout 2 years ago who lives in Chicago IL. Ming was the original owner, and a subie enthusiast. He first spiced up the stock car a little and brought it around to local car shows. Im not sure of exact dates but I would say between 2003-2004 is when the big transformation took place. He had a Version 7 JDM WRX engine and tranny swapped into the car, making it a different animal power wise. On top of that he added a full Do-Luck body kit, a Ver. 5 STI Wing and a Top Secret Goldpaint job. (If you don't know aboutthe top secret paint do some research, not only is it extremely rare, but itsnot cheap) He also did a lot of interior work as well. From there he entered, and won numerous competitions and ended up in Super Street Magazine, and J-Tuned Magazine.

When I bought the car a couple years ago I was more than excited to go pick it up and show it off. Needless to say it is an incredible head turner. Everywhere and anywhere you go, you will have people looking at you and your car, and asking tons of questions. Since I have purchased it I have done a bit of work to it as well. Ming took a few things out and dropped his selling price so there was a few things at are not the same as the pictures in the magazine, but I added a few of my own ideas, and this car still has room to grow. When I first got the car I heard about a place in Mass that worked specifically on swapping subarus, hence the name East Coast Swappers Performance. I took it to them to have it looked over, as well as having them do some other minor things. Right off the bat, the wiring was a mess, so I had a new wiring harness installed on the car. From there on I have been adding little things here and there.(I'll list below) Unfortunetally shortly after purchasing the car it got hit in the side by some shooting what looked like a bee bee. That being said, there is a small dent on the passenger side door where the paint chipped. The front front bumper is cracked, due to someone tapping me in a mall parking spot.There is also a small paint chip on the driver side door. Other than that the car is in absolutely great condition. ALSO INCLUDED BUT NOT ON THE CAR-- JDM WRX Trasmission,a set of Endless front brake pads, calipers, and rotors (1 of the pistons on the front passenger caliper was sticking), 2 12"eclipse subs in box, jdm wrx top mount intercooler, stock bov, arc induction box, and battery voltage indicator for the subs, that mounts on the fiberglass box.

The Sti Transmission, clutch, front mount, intake, and hids were all installed about 2 months ago. Along with that I bought a new 06 wrx brake kit and installed it on the front (pads, rotors, and calipers). I have about $8,000 worth of reciepts, and thats only what I could find. I have probably put close to $12,000 + into this car, on top of the $20,000 + put into it before me.

The Reason I am selling it is because I just purchased a new WRX and I am in the process of saving for a house. Two Cars and a motorcycle are a lot of toys at this point and I'm trying to narrow down my collection. Feel Free to stop over and check out the car. Also due to the swap im sure you are curious about mileage. The JDM gauge cluster is in kilometeres, so its not actual mileage. There is approximately 60,000 miles on the body of the vehicle, and about 45,000 on the engine. I had leak down test and full engine inspection about 6 months ago saying that the engine was in excellant condition still like new.

Also as far as power goes, this car is fast. I have not had it dynoed or tuned, but running about 15lbs it is really quick. You will have no problem beating STI's and Evo's.

One more thing to add is that there is no AC or Heat. I'm not sure if its a fuse or a simply fix, I never looked into it.
